Position Overview:

As an Analytical Lab Intern , you will focus on projects within an analytical team to leverage and implement automated processes and help improve the efficiency of current methods. This role is perfect for a student eager to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges in a fast-paced, innovative lab environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Program, calibrate, maintain and operate robotic instruments for the preparation of chemical solutions, ensuring accurate and reproducible results.
Optimize and execute GC-FID and GCMS methods for both liquid and gaseous (headspace) samples.
Process, analyze, and interpret GCFID and GC/MS data, including chromatogram review, peak identification, and method troubleshooting.
Apply calibration standards and quantitative analysis approaches to accurately determine concentrations of target analytes.
Perform method validation activities and utilize statistical methods to evaluate accuracy and reproducibility.
Maintain documentation of analytical procedures, instrument maintenance, and results in accordance with laboratory quality systems.
Collaborate with team members to support method development, validation, and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications:
Junior or Senior students seeking a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Forensic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with computer programming is desirable.
Knowledge of GC/MS instruments for both liquid and headspace sampling. Hands-on experience in those instruments is preferred.
Familiarity with calibration techniques, quantification methods, and lab data systems.
Strong background in statistical methods and data analysis.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Salary Range $23.50 - $29.00 USD
