Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct compliant assessment, analysis, drafting, review, and negotiation of contractual documents.
  • Negotiate optimal contract terms while balancing risk exposure and departmental risk tolerance within company guidelines.
  • Exercise independent judgment and authority in legal decision-making with minimal reliance on the Legal group.
  • Advise and influence stakeholders and functional leadership on contractual terms, business implications, and process efficiencies.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to assess future needs and implement improvements to legal processes, templates, and playbooks.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners to ensure seamless contract execution.
  • Serve as a resource within the group, including training or mentoring other contract managers as needed.
  • Influence departmental objectives and contribute to long-term strategic goals; may lead process improvements or special projects.
  • Deliver presentations to stakeholders and leadership regarding contract purpose, processes, risks, and areas requiring attention.
  • Maintain accurate records of executed contracts and respond to audit requests.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
  • High degree of customer focus with proven ability to build internal and external partnerships.

Education/Experience:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • Certification in Contract Management.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience training or mentoring contract management staff.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Legal, or related field required.
  • JD preferred.
