Job Description

Responsibilities + Work with the team to develop architectural concepts for interior and exterior repositioning and adaptive projects. + Create and draft technical drawings, ensuring they align with design solutions. + Oversee design and drawing for smaller projects. + Review engineering and landscape drawings for compliance with design solutions. + Research and select fixtures and finishes with the Senior Designer, ensuring seamless integration into the overall design. + Develop and finalize conceptual designs for smaller projects. + Oversee Intermediate Designer in reviewing space plans and addressing complex issues. + Provide detailed design solutions for both interior and architectural projects. + Develop and deliver comprehensive design and furniture packages for interior and exterior spaces. + Assist in the development of packages for larger projects. + Obtain and produce final cost estimates. + Manage design budgets for assigned projects. Qualifications + Graduate of architecture or design school, or equivalent experience. + 6+ years of experience in workplace design, focusing on building repositioning, adaptive re-use projects, and corporate interiors. + Extensive knowledge of design principles, workplace trends, aesthetics, and furniture layout concepts. + Advanced sketching, rendering, and architectural detailing skills. + Comprehensive knowledge of CDs, building systems, codes, ADA requirements, and path of travel requirements. + Intermediate MS Office Suite skills. + Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite. + Proficiency in Revit and construction document creation. + Experience in interior design, corporate interiors, and architecture. + Expertise in design development, sectioning, elevation detailing, and workplace interiors. + Strong drafting, project management, and space planning skills. + Advanced skills in Enscape, FF&E, and furniture selection. + Proficiency in concept design, cost estimation, and contract administration. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
