Summary: Life Sciences Group at GBA is welcoming entry level engineers in Lenexa, KS.
- Life Sciences serves many of the world's top 20 bio-pharma companies. Our Life Science group is a collaborative team of engineers and architects focused on the design of mechanical and electrical systems within the bio-pharma industry.
Life Sciences offers the opportunity to work within an integrated team of architects, engineers, commissioning specialists, project managers, and construction managers.
What You'll Do: - Design various electrical systems such as lighting, power, and low-voltage specialty systems.
- Prepare construction documents for various electrical systems
- Review of shop drawings and RFI’s
- Verification of permitting and code requirements
- Assist with facility evaluation and engineering studies
- Assist with troubleshooting and commissioning
- Other fun duties as assigned!
What You'll Bring: - BS in Architectural or Electrical Engineering
- 0 – 2 years of experience
- Adept at working on fast-paced projects
- Seeking a collaborative team environment to work in our multi-disciplined office environment
Technical Skills & Abilities: - Must be proficient in AutoCAD
- REVIT experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Physical Requirements: - Ability to sit, stand, walk around the office for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
Travel: - Less than 10% travel to site for site visits.
Salary: - $74,000 to $80,000 based on location and experience level.
