Industrial Painter

Job Summary:
Painters are responsible for applying coatings to finished fabricated products in accordance with job requirements. This role involves operating painting equipment, reading and interpreting printed paint sheets to determine which color to choose. Must meet production deadlines while delivering quality results. Painters are also expected to follow company policies and safety procedures to maintain a secure and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Scrape old decals and labels off as well as any rust that might interfere with paint coating
• Apply paint coatings to finished fabricated products
• Use proper safety equipment, paint equipment, paint and primer, and assure that surfaces are adequately prepared for painting all operations
• Align & Apply labels / stickers to finished product once dry
• Maintain shop, equipment, tools, etc. for the purpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of items
• Coordinate with shop supervisor and other personnel for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently, on time, and with no defects
• Adheres to safety policies to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and surrounding coworkers
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements: 

• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English
• Able to apply paint coatings to fabricated material per requirements
• Able to adapt to work priorities, communicate well, meet deadlines and schedules, and work as part of a team
• Experience in industrial painting; a plus
