Job Summary: In your role as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM), you will be responsible for overseeing and executing a variety of surveying projects. You will play a pivotal role in upholding our commitment to excellence, fostering innovation, and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and customer service.
Key Responsibilities - Project Oversight : Manage and execute surveying projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with state statutes and company standards.
- Survey Execution : Conduct and oversee field surveys, including boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys, utilizing GPS, Total Station, and other advanced equipment.
- Data Analysis and Mapping : Analyze survey data to prepare detailed maps and reports using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant software.
- Quality Assurance : Review and certify the accuracy of survey documents, ensuring all deliverables meet legal and regulatory requirements.
- Team Collaboration : Collaborate with field crews, CAD technicians, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
- Client Communication : Liaise with clients to understand project requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns or questions.
- Regulatory Compliance : Stay informed about changes in surveying laws and regulations to ensure all practices remain compliant.
- Mentorship : Provide guidance and training to junior staff, fostering professional growth and maintaining high performance standards.
Qualifications - Licensure : Active Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) license in the State of Florida, in accordance with Chapter 472 of the Florida Statutes.
- Education : Bachelor's degree in surveying and mapping, geomatics, or a related field from an accredited institution. Candidates with degrees in other fields must have completed at least 25 semester hours in surveying-related coursework as specified by Florida Statute 472.013 .
- Experience : Minimum of 4 years of progressive surveying experience under the supervision of a licensed PSM, demonstrating responsible charge over surveying tasks.
- Technical Proficiency : Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GPS, Total Station, and other surveying equipment and software.
- Knowledge : Comprehensive understanding of land surveying principles, legal descriptions, and Florida surveying laws and regulations.
- Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to clients and team members.
- Organizational Skills : Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Leadership : Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor junior staff, and foster a collaborative work environment
Compensation and Benefits: - Compensation: Salary range of $90,000 – $110,000 per year, depending on experience (DOE)
