Materials Manager | Paw Paw, MI

Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize inventory levels to ensure production continuity and minimize holding costs.
• Develop and implement material planning strategies using MRP/ERP systems.
• Oversee all inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing, and material flow.
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely and cost-effective material acquisition and supplier performance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the materials planning and warehousing teams.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for material management efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in material handling processes and systems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in materials management, supply chain, or operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven expertise in inventory control, demand forecasting, and production planning utilizing ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and optimize logistics.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Experience with advanced data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Proven experience in global sourcing and international logistics.
