Position Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Wellington, CO

Job Type: Contract | 6 Weeks

Pay Rate: $20 – $24 per hour

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking  Medical Assistant  for an exciting Travel or Local job in  Wellington, CO.

Schedule:

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Tuesday, Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Record vital signs, medical history, and other key patient information.
• Perform phlebotomy, venipuncture, and vaccine administration.
• Conduct point-of-care (POC) testing and assist with EKGs as required.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage daily workflow efficiently.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Support front desk duties, including answering calls and assisting with patient check-in and check-out.
• Collaborate with both clinical and administrative staff to ensure coordinated care.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum  2–3 years   as a Medical Assistant (excluding externship).
• Certification: Certified Medical Assistant strongly preferred.
• Preferred Experience: Background in Occupational Health.
• Technical Skills:
• Phlebotomy / Venipuncture
• EMR Systems
• EKG and POC Testing
• Front and Back Office Operations
• Other Requirements:
• Current BLS or CPR certification
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
• Commitment to patient education and community health
