Principal Duties and Responsibilities

St. Wenceslaus Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Math Teacher for grades 7 and 8 for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate has strong math content knowledge and a commitment to engaging students through effective instruction and differentiation while supporting the Catholic mission of the school.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Teach math to students in grades 7 and 8 using curriculum-aligned instruction
* Design and deliver lessons that incorporate differentiation to meet diverse learning needs
* Foster conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning
* Assess student progress and provide timely feedback
* Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment
* Integrate Catholic values into classroom culture and daily interactions
* Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support student success

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Strong knowledge of middle school mathematics concepts and instruction
* Ability to differentiate instruction for a range of learners
* Effective classroom management and organizational skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with middle school students
* Willingness to support and participate in the Catholic mission and faith life of the school

Education and Experience
* Degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field preferred
* Valid teaching certification
* Middle school teaching experience preferred but not required
