**This employment opportunity is being recruited by Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego on behalf of Children's Specialists of San Diego.** **JOB SUMMARY NURSE PRACTITIONER:** The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive physical assessment, treatment, psychosocial support, referral, and health education to children and families in clinical, school, and in-home settings. The Nurse Practitioner functions as a primary care provider, clinical leader, educator, researcher, care coordinator and consultant and works with the supervision of a physician. Performs within the scope of licensures and in accordance with hospital policies. Some positions will be responsible for being on call according to a predetermined schedule or as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree in Nursing Current California Nurse Practitioner license Current CPR/BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA Furnishing number, State of California - Must obtain within 1 year of employment DEA license for positions that require the writing of scheduled medications - Must obtain within 1 year of employment Medicare Billing number (NPI- National Provider Identifier) - Must obtain within 6 months of employment Certification: Nurse Practitioner, National - Must obtain within 1 year of employment Successfully complete the credentialing process through Medical Staff Services Successfully complete the requirements of the delegations of Services for the assigned division PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of experience in clinical nursing with emphasis in specialty area Experience in specialty area as a Nurse Practitioner Formal in-service education and/or lecturing skills Bilingual Skills desired **JOB SUMMARY PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT:** The Physician Assistant provides comprehensive physical assessment, treatment, psychosocial support, referral, and health education to children and families in clinical, school, and in-home settings under the supervision of a licensed physician. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree Completion of a Physician Assistant Program Current California Physician Assistant License Current CPR/BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA Current PALS Certification, issued by AHA DEA license for positions that require the writing of scheduled medications - Must obtain within 1 year of employment Medicare Billing number (NPI- National Provider Identifier) - Must obtain within 6 months of employment Certification: Physician Assistant, National Commission (must obtain within 1 year of employment) Successfully complete the credentialing process through Medical Staff Services Successfully completes the requirements of the PA Practice Agreement for the assigned division PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 2 years of experience in a direct clinical care position with emphasis in specialty area Experience in specialty area as a Physician Assistant Formal in-service education and/or lecturing skills Bilingual Skills desired The expected hiring range for this position is $67.58 to $92.93 per hour. _Children's Specialists of San Diego is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable.
