Description Lana Funkhouser is hiring a Construction Project Accountant for one of her well-respected clients. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of construction accounting principles. The Construction Project Accountant will be responsible for managing financial aspects of multiple construction projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This position plays a critical role in supporting project managers and leadership by providing clear financial insights and maintaining the integrity of project budgets. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports. + Review and process subcontractor invoices, change orders, and payment applications. + Monitor job cost allocations and ensure accurate coding of expenses. + Reconcile project accounts and assist with month-end close processes. + Collaborate with project managers to track financial performance and resolve discrepancies. + Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and industry standards. + Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed.
