Job Description



AECOM has an excellent career opportunity for a creative, highly talented and experienced Senior Aviation Project Manager based in the East region. You will lead airport projects managing the technical and administrative resources and activities required for successful compliance of our clients’ goals. AECOM is recognized as a leader in airport designs regionally and globally. You will join a team of dedicated aviation planners and engineers delivering iconic aviation projects.

Primary Focus will Include:

  • Subject Matter Expert on FAA – Multiple Offices
  • Provide guidance as needed for AECOM Global Aviation
  • Lead the Project/Program assigned
  • Assist in master planning efforts for airports
  • Interact with Program owner and other stakeholders to understand needs and requests
  • Verify compliance with FAA and International Standards
  • Verify compliance of scope
  • Interact with local and regional Management when requested
  • Provide support for estimation and development of Aviation related Proposals

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Has full responsibility for managing all aspects of his project/program. Serves as liaison contact with the client to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget and with client satisfaction
  • Directs and manages the entire project/program, guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface
  • Overall responsibility and management of project including but not limited to budgeting/schedule stage, procurement, through contract closeout
  • Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to assure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects
  • Coordinates work efforts and reviews work performed. Schedules and manages for integration of quality control during all phases of a project.
  • Manages risks, scope changes, subconsultants, invoicing and financial reporting throughout the project life-cycle
  • Estimates fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts on the projects
  • Supports and mentors junior project managers
  • Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies. 
  • Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors
  • Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout. Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned project

Minimum

Qualifications

:

  • BA/BS plus ten years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education plus 2 years of leadership experience
  • Experience with transportation aviation infrastructure projects

Preferred

Qualifications

:

  • Successful track record of leadership on airport projects
  • Previous experience leading projects and teams on complex projects
