Data Collection: Unit Information: HCA Houston Healthcare West Location: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Address: Floor: 3rd Building: Main General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds 20 private beds Number of Staff 18 RN FTE (total staff with therapy and nursing is ~60) Type of staff: 1 CNC, 2-3 RNs, 1-2 CNAs for day and night o Day Shift (example 1 charge, 3 RN, 2 CNA, and 1-3 sitters) o Night Shift - same Patient Ratios 5:1 on average with sometimes 6:1 if short. Type of equipment standard nursing equipment plus rehab equipment for transfers, etc. EMR - Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Start/stop IVs, wound care, telemetry, Foley care, and standard Medsurg unit nursing skills are a must Medication pass Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. Prior Inpatient Rehab Facility or Skilled Nursing Unit experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Mobilization of patients to bathrooms, dressing, out of bed mobility. Daily medication distribution, education on medication reconciliation, nursing care for DC home Best personality Fit: Open to learn rehab, outgoing, energetic, fun REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: BLS (ACLS preferred), Nursing license Floating Area(s): Med surg possible Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire - Royal blue Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.
