Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers to understand their design preferences, lifestyle needs, and budget constraints.
- Provide expert guidance on flooring selection, including carpet, hardwood, tile, luxury vinyl, and more.
- Collaborate with clients to create custom interior finish solutions that enhance the beauty and functionality of their spaces.
- Utilize cutting-edge estimating software to calculate the product needs of customers.
- Manage the sales process from consultation to installation, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product innovations, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- Previous sales experience in interior design, home improvement, or related field preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
- Creative flair and a keen eye for detail with a passion for staying ahead of design trends.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Knowledge of flooring materials, installation techniques, and maintenance requirements is a plus.
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed to accommodate customer schedules.

Duties Although not an all-inclusive list, the following are some of the duties and expectations that we have for this position:
- Assist clients with selection and application of interior finishes which include, but not limited to, hardwood, tile, carpeting, cabinetry and quartz countertops (explain features/benefits, etc.)
- Greet customers on the sales floor, and determine their wants and needs
- Keep up-to-date on the wide select of products we have to offer along with the benefits and warranties provided by each
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Write sales orders
- Build client relationships
- Network regularly, and work effectively, with other store employees
- Receive payment, or obtain credit authorization
- Use computer database to research the availability of merchandise and to process orders
- Follow up in a timely and professional manner with all customers on requests and/or concerns
- Answer questions from customers about flooring
- Help customers with their choice through decorating and/or design advice
- Maintain showroom by keeping samples and displays neat, current, and clean
Requirements The ideal candidate must be:
- Willing to undergo our extensive product and sales training in order to become certified flooring and design expert.
- Personally well-organized.
- Able to provide outstanding customer service.
- Able to provide exceptional follow-up.
Some additional qualifications include:
- A passion for, or experience with, decorating or design
- Must have access to reliable transportation in order to get to work, and to visit customers' home (as necessary)
- Open and flexible work availability, including weekends
- Willingness to learn our operating systems
- Retail sales experience strong preferred
