Help shape the future of U.S. airspace safety and efficiency. We are seeking a Software Developer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This role contributes to the delivery of reliable, secure, and scalable software solutions that support aviation operations, data analysis, and system modernization across the National Airspace System (NAS). The ideal candidate brings hands-on development experience, a strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, and the ability to work collaboratively in a regulated, mission-driven environment.
In this position, you will:
Design, develop, and maintain software applications and services supporting FAA programs.
Translate functional and technical requirements into clean, maintainable, and testable code.
Participate in requirements analysis, design reviews, and code reviews.
Develop and execute unit, integration, and system tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
Collaborate with systems engineers, cybersecurity teams, and program stakeholders to ensure solutions meet operational needs.
Support application deployment, integration, and sustainment activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and operational incidents.
Maintain technical documentation, including design artifacts and user guidance.
Adhere to secure coding standards, configuration management, and change control processes.
Support continuous improvement through refactoring, automation, and adoption of best practices.

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
